It is time once again for Great Racers and vintage car rallying fans to make their annual pilgrimage to Chattanooga, Tennessee  for the three-day Coker Tire Challenge, a cloverleaf-style road rally race based on time, speed, and distance. Many of the 2016 Great Race participants, including Hemmings’ own 1932 Ford Speedster and the fabulous Auburn boat-tail speedster that graced the pages of the October issue of Hemmings Motor News will be on hand to navigate the beautiful Blue Ridge Mountains and scenic byways of Eastern Tennessee.

Chad and Jennie Caldwell will be competing in their 1931 Auburn Boattail Speedster.

The rally, which began with registration on Thursday, September 15, runs through Sunday, September 18. Following stages on Friday, Saturday and Sunday, all of the racers will return to Coker Tire’s world headquarters in Chattanooga at the end of each day’s competition. The exact route, as per other TSD rally events, is unknown to the racers until 30 minutes before they leave in the morning.
