First-generation Honda Accords are a rare sight on American roads these days, since most were used up by a string of ever more budget-constrained owners, or consumed by the tinworm until no longer able to pass state motor vehicle inspections. This 1981 Honda Accord sedan, for sale on Hemmings.com, is a rare exception to the rule, reportedly owned for the bulk off its life by a “little old lady in Hayward, California.” With just 42,265 miles showing on the odometer, this example also benefits from recent maintenance that seems to indicate the car came from long-term storage. It’s not flawless, and the seller is clear that the front bumper needs replating, along with new rubber corners, but otherwise the car appears to be in impressive condition for its age. From the seller’s description:

42,000 documented miles! Originally owned by a little old lady in Hayward California. SHOW condition! You don’t need to take this to the next level, it’s already there. ALL maintenance records. Work shop and owners manuals included with sale.

Dealer installed Air Conditioning, blows ice cold
Right side mirror
Electric antenna
Side molding

VERY original car, original paint, original stereo, original interior, original fabric air intake hose!!….Original paint in excellent condition. Right front fender is only panel that has been repainted. Original interior is spotless, no tears or stains! Original CAD plating on bolts is still gold! The only blemishes are some chrome pealing from corner of front bumper and some splits in the front bumper corner rubbers (see photos).
