Hemmings Find of the Day – 1965 Oldsmobile 4-4-2 convertible

1965 Oldsmobile 442 convertible

1965 Oldsmobile 4-4-2 convertible for sale. From the seller’s description:

This 4-4-2 is family owned and garaged since new, purchased by my Dad on March 8, 1965. Unabused, never wrecked or damaged, and kept original. Not a clone, but a genuine Lansing built 4-4-2. Power steering and Jetaway column-shift automatic (for Mom). Power disc brakes were added in 1999. The car was originally Midnight Blue, and was disassembled and stripped in the late 90s and painted with Sikkens basecoat-clearcoat in GM Target Red. Seats were reupholstered and interior panels replaced, the dash is completely original. At the same time the engine had new rings, gaskets, and bearings. OEM radiator, fuel lines, and brake lines replaced. Original carb works great. The tires were replaced 2 years ago. 3:23 positraction read end. Exhaust was replaced with the OEM aluminum chambered version, along with the mufflers. Perfect chrome and stainless.

I have all documentation, including the original sales receipt and a copy of the original title. I am the second owner, and have driven the car only 11,000 miles since 1988.
