1985 Audi Quattro for sale on Hemmings.com. From the seller’s description:

The car has been in Colorado (23 years)/California (2years) since 1991/92:There is no evidence that it has ever had any rust or serious collision damage. Current mileage is 117850.

Among the 667 (+/- 1 or 2) ur-Quattros imported to the United States from 1982- 1985, the 84 models (65 cars) and the 85 (73 cars) are the rarest, the rest being sold as 82/83 models. The 85s are considered by many the most desirable due to the incorporation of a considerable number updates several of which began with the 1984 models and numerous others that were unique to the 85. While repainted in the original color (stone gray metallic) about 4 years ago, the well-kept interior is original as is most of the car. It has some desirable upgrades such as European lights and bumper treatment, and a short shift kit.

The drive train is original. The car has had some recent extensive maintenance. About 3.5 years ago the head and the original turbo were rebuilt. Upgraded brakes and rotors (with dual piston caliper front brakes) were fitted; all of the CV joints were replaced. Other maintenance included water hoses and installation a new hydraulic slave cylinder. The A/C was rebuilt charged, and converted to R-134A from R-12 Freon and blows cold. In addition to the major mechanicals details such as restoration of the original stereo cassette player and repair of the cruise control were performed. In February, 2015 the timing belt, water pump, alternator, and drive belt were replaced.

Current mechanical gripes include one of the two seat heaters not working, the automatic radio antenna(new) is not hooked up, the passenger seat adjustment is jammed, and there is very mild weeping on the steering rack, that has remained unchanged for the past year. There are 3-4 Barely minor chips or paint defects, and stiching is loose on a drivers seat seam. Leather is not torn.

It is equipped with almost all factory options (e.g. it doesn’t have the Canadian option) and comes with original books and extensive receipts from all four owners.
