1957StudebakerGoldenHawk_01_1000

1957 Studebaker Golden Hawk for sale on Hemmings.com. From the seller’s description:

Rare original black paint. Original 289 V-8 supercharged engine verified by the Studebaker museum. Automatic transmission converted to 4 speed on floor from a 60″s Studebaker Hawk, making the drive train “all Studebaker”. Bench seat converted to bucket seats from the same 60’s Hawk. Interior in very good condition (headliner, doors and dash in great shape, will need carpet). Car is complete and will make an excellent restoration project. Does not run, but the engine is not seized.

Stored in barn since 1974, car was in very good mechanical condition when it was last driven. A true barn find described as an unbelievable ‘diamond in the rough’ for the enthusiast wanting something historic and different at the car shows! Minimal amount of rust, overall the vehicle is very solid. History: car was purchased used in 1959 from a Pontiac dealer. Title in hand.
