Hemmings Find of the Day – 1952 Packard 250 convertible

1952 Packard 250 convertible

1952 Packard 250 convertible for sale. From the seller’s description:

Very nice and excellent running Packard convertible. This car runs and drives excellent. The car’s original 327 straight 8 was completely rebuilt with less than 1500 miles since. The engine rebuild included bearings, pistons, reground cam, new tappets, new stainless valves, springs, hardened seats, new guides, rebuilt oil pump and was balanced. The rear end was replaced with a rebuilt original 3.9 ratio from Kanter Bros and the outer bearings replaced as well. Has new clutch and rebuilt pressure plate, shifts very nice. Overdrive works with a switch, but all components are there to make it work automatically. The top cylinders were replaced and the top as well as all power windows work fine. Mostly original chrome in very good shape overall. It has Packard wire wheels, a continental kit and dual spot lights that function. This is a very impressive car that always draws attention and can be driven anywhere at highway speeds. I have many additional parts including another transmission that are included with sale if interested.
